STATISTICS & MAPS

We conducted an in-depth examination of the types of kindergartens and schools in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol and in the three Baltic countries: Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Our research results have been compiled into PDF files for each city, offering a comprehensive overview.

Objective: Our goal is to map the prevalence and distribution of typical Soviet-era architectural legacies and spatial propaganda across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Current Focus: We are currently mapping typical kindergartens and schools constructed between 1950 and 1990 in the capitals of CEE countries (up to 19 cities). The findings include statistical data and detailed maps.

Future Vision: We aim to create a database reflecting the current situation. This database's scale is intended to raise awareness about the need for transformation and encourage discussions on the future of these historical structures.
