Soviet school transformation principles

European architects’ initiative Rebuild the Wonderful has joined forces with the Ukrainian government, business leaders, and architectural teams from Lithuania, Estonia, and Hungary to create new principles for transforming schools in Ukraine. These 12 principles will guide the transformation of typical schools damaged by war, making them safer, more inclusive, and more responsive to modern educational needs.

The school transformation manual serves as a philosophy with practical principles how to transform soviet educational spaces.

The project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Big City Lab.

The project is created by REBUILD THE WONDERFUL, which brought together architects from Lithuania (DO ARCHITECTS), Estonia (KAVAKAVA) and Hungary (ARCHIKON).
