STANDARD SOCIALIST ARCHITECTURE TYPES

Educational buildings (kindergartens and schools) were among one of the most standardised typologies in former USSR. Observing baby boom phenomenon and a rapidly urbanising society, schools and kindergartens were in crucial need to meet the demand, therefore most of educational buildings in former European communist countries were built in this standardised fashion until 90’s.
